My foot is really bothering me. If I didn't already have a cane, I couldn't have walked on it today. But, enough whining...
Stopped on the way home at Home Depot and got a coupld packs of those big, strong paper yard-refuse bags. There is a lot of junk in the garage that would puncture a plastic garbage bag, so I'll put it in the paper bag, then in a garbage bag and set it out for the trashman Tuesday morning.
So, its back to inspecting, sorting and sweeping in the garage. I got two full bags of junk, the saws back in place and several places for the new tools that the kitchen project brought into my life. I stopped at 7:00 PM.
So, now onto dinner. I had thawed out catfish filets for Sunday dinner, but ran out of time. So, I patted them dry, dredged them in flour, dipped them in egg and milk and then coated them in cornmeal mixed with house seasoning (say it with me, folks: salt, pepper and garlic powder). I fried them in about 1/2 inch of canola oil. Meanwhile, I made my other favorite, Uncle Ben's Wild Rice. I also microwaved the Green Giant broccoli and cheese.
I ate them Southern-style, with hot sauce instead of tartar sauce. It was all excellent (I can now officially recommend the Green Giant broccoli and cheese - nice cheese sauce, very few calories). Watched some TV, and then went to bed.
