Tuesday and back to painting

I noticed during the day my foot was getting better. It didn't hurt to walk on it as much. Hopefully this will continue.

We were supposed to get rain today, maybe even an all-day event with rainfall estimated to be 1/2 inch. Well, it did sprinkle around here off and on most of the afternoon. But when I got home and checked the rain gauge, there wasn't enough water in it to get to the first hash mark.

Stopped at Home Depot and bought a gallon of cheap, semi-gloss white paint, two 4-foot 1" x 12" boards and some shelf brackets for the garage. When I was cleaning out the corner where the pipe-making bench is going, I noticed how bad the wall really was (the shelf that used to sit there kinda covered it up).

So, once changed, rain gauge checked (waste of time) and bird feeder refilled, I got back to work in the garage. Cleaned out and sorted all the wood in the corner, then I disassembled the standing wood rack I had made when I moved in. I removed all the nails where things had hung and patched the holes in the wall. While the spackling was drying, I painted the boards that will become shelves their first coat. Then, I painted the wall its first coat. I cleaned up and quit at 7:45 PM.

Dinner was two hamburgers and three ears of sweet corn (for some reason I was starving!) Then came TV, reading and bedtime.
