When I got home from work Wednesday, I had a bill stuck in my door from Tru-Green, advising me that they had applied the Fall "Weed & Feed" and that it was very important to water my lawn to work it into the soil. So, I checked my phone (no messages), changed clothes and went outside.
I put the sprinkler in the first position on the front lawn, turned it on and went inside, setting the stove timer for 20 minutes. And, of course, repeated the procedure again and again and again... until darkness intervened. I did get all the way into the back yard , but just by the gate before I had to quit.
While doing that, I missed two phone calls. One from my daughter, M______ (who wanted to chat) and the other from Lu (to let me know she made it home). For some stupid reason, once I check the phone when I get home, I figure there will be no calls that I don't hear, so I never check it again until the morning. So, I apologize to both of you for not responding. I just didn't realize you'd called.
Okay, so what's for dinner that I can make in a 20 minute interval? Hmmm... I cut off the last four leftover baby back ribs, warmed them in the microwave and smothered them with BBQ sauce. Damn, those were good. I made some rice as the side dish and ate that as well.
I hung up the clothes from the load I'd started when I got home, and watched some TV. Maybe it was all that jumping up every 20 minutes or something else, but I was tired and gave it up about 9:30 PM and went to bed.
