Water, water, everywhere and not a drop to drink

Wednesday was a tough night for a foodie. I have to go in Thursday morning at 7:30 AM to a local lab and have some blood work done for my annual, upcoming doctor's visit. But, that means I have to fast for 14 hours before!

So, when I got home, I immediately warmed two hamburger patties and steamed some cauliflower. I ate the burgers with steaks sauce (no buns) and the cauliflower with butter and salt and did manage to finish by 5:30 PM. But that left a long, hungry, thirsty night ahead...

I called Melissa and wished her a safe trip. They are leaving Thursday in a caravan (two people, two cars) and heading for their new home in North Carolina. To keep myself busy, I finally sorted through the stuff on the bedroom floor and filed it all. I found all kinds of interesting stuff!

I watched a very weird show, "Pushing Daisies" and then two taped shows I'd missed. Went to bed and read at 10:30 PM. I finally shut off the light and went to sleep at 11:30.

  1. YOU didn't drink ALL night?

Speaking of shows, check out Just Cook This on Discovery Health. Pretty enjoyable and everything he makes looks great. Not really a "health" show either, if you get my drift.

  2. Hard to believe, but true. They did say I could have occasional sips of water, so I did when my throat got too dry, but that was IT!

Thanks for the tip. I'll check it out. What night is it on?

  3. Not sure. Damn DVR has me straight twisted on when shows come on these days!

According to your localized Yahoo! TV listings it's on Tuesdays at 4:00 PM and 4:30 PM on channel 136.
