Monday, damp from overspray

So, it's back to work on Monday. I do have a unique treat this morning, though. Since the cinnamon raisin bread was fresh-baked with no preservatives, it will not last for long. So, I cut off two thick slices and made some buttered toast for breakfast.

After work, I got home, did the usual and, after changing clothes, had a drink and tried to decide what to do. It thundered, with lightning and rain here around 3:30 PM, and its still overcast, so I do not trust the herbicide will have enough time to kill the vegetation in my driveway before a stray shower might return, should I choose to spray it now.

I finally decide to go with using the next two bottles of the Windex cleaner and washing down the rest of the house (if it stays dry that long). And, so, at 6:15 PM, I go out to do just that!

I go with my idea of rinse first, then wash, then rinse again. It's difficult around the hanging plants, etc. Since I am getting the indoor/outdoor carpeting on the front porch wet anyway, I also hose off the wicker furniture and the rocker. I finish at 8:15 PM and, again, have two empty bottles. Well, at least I know now it takes four bottles to do the whole house.

It does look WAY better, though. There are only two spots I should do by hand, one in the back by the patio and one in the front, behind a bush.

Inside, I switch my damp shorts and t-shirt for some dry ones, and then warm up two ears of corn and two hot dogs for my dinner. I eat watching TV and keep watching until about 10:30 PM, when I turn everything off and go to bed.
