I raced a storm home Monday night. It has been hot and sticky all day and then, dark clouds started rolling in. I got about five raindrops on my windshield before I pulled in the garage.
I changed clothes and then sat on the porch for a while and watched it rain.
Finally, I answered duty's call. I got everything out and ready for the second coat of the accent wall. But first, I got a small artist's brush and touched up the places where the lighter paint came off with the masking tape. Then, I repainted the wall. By 7:30 PM, I had everything washed up and put away again.
The wall looks pretty good, I think. But, I have been fooled before by wet walls. So, I am not celebrating tonight, but feeling a little more confident that I am done with painting (did I ever tell you how much I HATE painting?)
I warmed up two hot dogs, put them in buns and baptized them with yellow mustard. I ate them watching TV, with the windows open to help with the paint smell. I went to bed at 10:00 PM.
