Yet another wet Wednesday

I made my way home Wednesday under threatening skies. We are under yet another Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 11:00 PM.

I gave the cats their treats, checked voicemail and my snail mail and then changed my clothes. I filled the bird feeder and the suet cage and checked on the gardens by the patio. More weeds! Right in the mulch! I have a LOT of catching up to do after the bedroom is done.

Speaking of which, I went back inside and began prepping the worst wall. Why the worst? Because, instead of having just a window in it like the first two, this one has the 6-foot closet opening, the second smaller closet and the door into the hall, all needing meticulous taping before painting. I get it done just before 7:00 PM.

Knowing I have the three day weekend coming up, and I have to cut the grass Thursday evening, I decide that's it for tonight.

I made a simple salad of lettuce and sweet onion and warmed up one hamburger for my dinner. I was watching a taped show when I heard the thunder, so I went outside on the porch and watched it rain for a while. It didn't look that bad, here (they were talking high winds and 1-2 inches of rain). Back inside, I switched to Wednesday Night Boxing. I fell asleep around 10:30 PM, but it's being recorded, anyway.

I went out first thing Thursday morning and checked the rain gauge. I got 1 1/2 inches of rain overnight and its still drizzling!
