Windy Wednesday

I got home on Wednesday and got to work. Chilly here today! High of just 56 degrees F. and a wicked North-west wind (straight from Canada! Thanks, Tsu!)

But, I got things to do, so I put on a jacket and my old, gray fedora, checked the oil and gas in the mower and cranked it up! It had threatened rain all day, but no rain so far. So, I cut the front lawn. Now, it's a bit trickier to cut the lawn in the fall, because I want to blow all the leaves into the vacant lot next to me.

So, I ran over the driveway first, with the mower deck on "high" to pick up all the black walnut leaves. Next I cut the front, and then switched to the side. When I was satisfied it was as good as it could get, I pulled the mower up to the garage door (which I had closed before starting mowing) and got out the blower. I blew off the crap on the mower and then blew off the front porch and the garage apron. When everything was clear, I opened the garage door and pulled the mower back in.

I decided that the two container plants in the wood chairs had definitely reached "end-of-life" so I put them into the compost heap. I put the chairs into the garage for a fall cleaning, later.

Back inside, I changed clothes and started the Wednesday night laundry. Then, before I forgot, I went out back and filled the bird feeder and dumped the remaining leftover potato salad for the possum.

I warmed up the last of the Pasta alla Carbonara for dinner and ate it with a few peperoncini. Still great!

I watched a little TV until it was time to hang up the laundry. Once I did that, I decided it was also time to go to bed, so I did.
