Teary-eyed Tuesday

It was another cold walk to take the garbage out Tuesday morning.

I stopped and bought some eggs and more rice on the way home for lunch. When I got home after work, I hard boiled six of them.

I called Lu back. She had left a message this morning, returning my call from Sunday. It seems she and Sadie were stuck on the road during the big snow storm (they got like five inches of snow - which is nothing here in Michigan, but they close the schools in Virginia if they get, like, one inch) which is why I didn't get through.

Oh, I forgot to mention yesterday, but my granddaughter Riese called me Monday night. She asked me to again sponsor her in a fund raiser for the March of Dimes. You pledge so much a book and then pay for as many books as she can read in a month. I told her I would but asked her to do me a favor and read slow!

I also forgot to mention that I turned over the calendar page and saw it was time to change my furnace filters (every three months) so, I did that when the furnace was off and it was cool. Timing was critical because "off and cool" doesn't happen all that much these days.

But, back to today...

For dinner I warmed up more leftover fried rice and made a big salad. Nothing caught my eye on TV so I watched one of my movies (Tears of the Sun) on DVD and then went to bed.
