Garbage Day

Tuesday dawned with me lugging out the garbage before leaving for work. It was still cold in the morning, but very sunny.

But, by the time I was driving home after work it had clouded up. We are supposed to get occasional showers during the night.

I did a lot of little, but necessary chores once I had treated the cats and changed clothes.

When I was going through the fridge on Monday night (you know, the "clean out the fridge on Monday night for Tuesday's garbage" thing) I noticed I had two bags of parsnips that were starting to sprout. So tonight, I peeled them and sliced them up. I added them to boiling water and cooked them until fork tender. I warmed up a hamburger patty and then plated everything, adding butter and salt to the parsnip and topping the patty with steak sauce.

I went in and ate dinner watching some TV. I went out on the front porch around 10:30 to see if it was raining. It had earlier but wasn't raining just then. With nothing much to watch, I came back inside and went to bed.
