Wednesday was a repeat of Tuesday, but with the high a couple degrees warmer. None the less, even at 70 degrees F., it's still about 12 degrees F. less than average.
So it was cloudy and chilly, with occasional sprinkles. But, when I left for lunch, the sun was out. So, when I got home from work, and it still hadn't rained, I decided to cut the front lawn.
I just changed my shoes (not wanting to venture out in the chill in my shorts and a T-Shirt), checked the oil and added gas and then fired the push mower up.
I got the side lawn cut, except for an incident with brushing up too close to the wild raspberries (see photos).
I was about half way finished with the main lawn when the rain started. Since the grass blowing out of the discharge shut was still dry, I carried on. I finished up around 7:15 PM.
Back inside, I washed off the blood and treated the cuts with Neosporin. I dried off my hair and then, babying my bloody forearm, I settled in to watch "Jeopardy." Yeah I got stuff to do in the kitchen, but I am now beat...
Since I had already entered my "rest" phase, I just made my Mexican Triscuit snack for dinner and ate it watching TV.
I went to bed at 10:00 PM.
What's a "Mexican Triscuit snack"?
ReplyDeleteI think I explained this before, but, here goes: I fill a plate with Triscuits, top them with shredded sharp cheddar cheese, add a good splash of taco sauce and then fine-dice canned, sliced Jalapeno peppers and sprinkle them on top. I stick it in the microwave for about 30 seconds (until the cheese melts) and then eat it.
ReplyDeleteIt's my easy-made version of nachos.
