TGIF, I guess

I woke up at the embarrassing hour of 9:00 AM! I posted the Blog and then, this being pay day, paid some bills online. It's kinda funny. I have no agenda and no time line per se, but I still feel like I am late...

I got a lot of little chores done around the house and then, for some reason, took a nap (I just can't seem to stay up for more than four hours at a time these days).

When I woke up, I wrote out a quick shopping list. Then I hit the road. First stop was Home Depot, where I got a new electric trimmer, a new deadbolt and lockset for the front door (I broke the key off in the old one) and some Windex multi-purpose cleaner (I used this before, both here and at the St. Clair house). Since they finally finished the road and I no longer have to worry about dust (I live on a paved road, now), I thought I should wash off the front and the sides of the house.

Then I went to Gordon Food Service and bought a heavy-duty 12-quart stock pot and lid. Next came Westborn, where I picked up some mild Pinconning cheese, some crumbled feta cheese, two English cucumbers, some zucchini squash, celery, an eggplant, button mushrooms and two pounds of sweet potatoes.

I got home just after 5:00 PM. I unloaded everything, treated the cats and took a break. Then I returned a call from my daughter, Melissa. We chatted for a while (okay, a long while) and, after we hung up, I started thinking about dinner.

I was gonna fry up the eggplant, but that seemed like a lot of work. So instead, I opened a can of Dinty Moore Beef Stew and ate that watching TV. When it was done, so was I, so I went to bed.

  2. Yeah, well, I'm taking donations to pay for it, if you're interested.

  3. You could use the money you save on washing the car and house.
