Garbage Day, again...

I slept badly on Monday night. I suspect it was just from having people in the house, although they weren't noisy. I finally gave up and got up at 6:00 AM. I shut off the alarm (set to go off at 6:30 for the garbage and therapy).

I took out the trash (damn it was cold out there: 18 degrees F. with a bit of a wind) and then came inside and made a small pot of coffee. Next I shaved showered and left for therapy.

I did my usual two different sets of exercise and then left. I stopped at the Value Market and got a jar of molasses, then CVS to get three cards. Believe it or not, all the Christmas cards were already put away and they had Valentine's Day cards in their place. So, I headed up Inkster to 6-Mile and the Walgreens. They at least still had cards left.

I got back home just before 10:00 AM and the ladies were up. So, I filled in the Blog and then sat and we chatted in the living room.

They left about 2:30 PM to go to Lu's mother's for that family's Christmas party. I had originally planned to use my alone time to make the now long overdue Christmas cookies (hence the need for molasses). I had had all the ingredients out and sitting on the counter (sitting in everybody's way as well) since Sunday afternoon.

But the more I looked at it, the less I felt like it. This would be the first year I couldn't give some of them to my Mom. So, after much deliberation, I slowly put everything away. Maybe next year I'll feel like it again...

I watched some TV and then ate some leftover hotdogs for dinner. I had a Clementine orange for dessert.

I switched over to reading later and read until midnight (still no sign of Lu and Sadie - must have been a good party!) Then I went to bed.
