I did go to work on Friday. With the wind, the low temperature was damn cold!
I stopped at Westborn at lunchtime and got a few things for the weekend meals. I picked up some fresh feta cheese, prosciutto, basil, an eggplant, their rustic Italian bread and some heavy cream. Believe me, I have a plan...
Then I went home and had a couple of sandwiches for lunch. When I pulled in my yard, my neighbor was out cutting his front lawn. I really should do that myself this weekend.
After work, I made up my shopping list for Saturday morning. Good God, this is like a two hour shopping trip!
I had some kind of problem with my printer (trying to print off the shopping list). For some reason, even though I checked the electrical connections, the printer wouldn't turn on. So, I went out to the garage and got an electrical tester. I did have power up to the printer and, when I plugged it back in, the printer worked (Thank God! I didn't want to write that bad boy out by hand!)
I watched some taped TV shows (the saddest was Gordon Ramsey. He went back to two restaurants he'd helped out, one in California and one in Michigan.) The one in California was doing great. Giuseppe's in Macomb Township, Michigan, however, had problems. Because of the downturn of business in Michigan, the family lost their home. Then they lost the restaurant. This climate sucks!! I would move to North Carolina and live in Melissa and Dave's basement, but their house is on a slab...
I watched the "Copper Beeches," a PBS production of Sherlock Holmes I'd taped. Then I went to bed.
