Slow moving Sunday

I woke up after 8:00 AM on Sunday. Reading the new book cut into my sleep time, apparently. I made a cup of Rick's coffee and posted the Blog, listening to Sunday Morning Over Easy. I'm not sure why, but I was feeling lazy.

So, I went with that (lazy, that is). I cut up the last grapefruit and ate it in bed, reading. Just before noon, my daughter Melissa called and we talked (and talked and talked...) When we finally hung up, it was way past lunchtime, so I toasted an English muffin and warmed up a burger patty in the microwave along with two ears of roasted corn. I put mayo and yellow mustard on the "bun" and butter and salt on the corn and ate my Sunday dinner.

I had cut up more of that watermelon, so I had chunks of it for dessert.

Back to my book! It was a good day for reading as it rained off and on all day.

I reluctantly put it down when I found my brother Carl had called during the Melissa conversation. So, I called him back. We talked for a while and then I made my supper (almost a duplicate of dinner, but this time it was a hot dog with yellow mustard and chopped sweet onions). Leftovers are nice when you want to read!

I went in to watch my Sunday night shows. During the first one, they broke in and showed pictures of a campground in Clyde Township (in St. Clair County). It was near where Lu and I lived in Emmet. An apparent tornado hit it (not confirmed then), picked up several camping trailers and tossed them into a nearby pond. They had a number of injuries and some fatalities. It looked awful!

I missed the end of the last show because I fell asleep around 10:30. Apparently reading for most of the day wore me out!
