Things I never knew...

...but learned by watching cooking shows:

If you are cutting up fresh herbs, you are supposed to make only one pass with your knife.

  1. You know, I don't know why. That wasn't explained. If I had to guess (and its only a guess) I think it's so you don't bruise them and lose the essential oils.
