I was lazy and got up late on Sunday. I made a pot of coffee and sat on the couch, listening to Sunday Morning, Over Easy. When it was over, I wrote a poem and posted it.
Since I basically got everything done yesterday, this was my day off. So, I caught up on my cooking shows, watched a couple old movies and just generally screwed off.
About 5:00 PM I began to get hungry. So, I started my Sunday dinner: Lasagna Rolls. I took a cup (well, two containers) of Boursin herbed cheese that I had taken out in the morning to soften and mixed that with one half cup of shredded mozzarella.
I boiled 12 lasagna noodles according to the package directions, rinsed them and drizzled them with olive oil so they wouldn’t stick together. Then I laid each one on the cutting board, and smeared the cheese on it. I rolled each one up and secured it with a toothpick.
I placed them side-by-side in a baking pan and poured my tomato sauce over them. I sprinkled shredded Parmesan cheese over the top and put it in a preheated 375 degree f. oven. I baked it for about 25 minutes (until the cheese filling melted and the top was golden brown.
I let it cool for a bit and then plated some… I was very disappointed! Way to mild tasting. I guess. I supose when I think of lasagna it’s a rich, hearty, meaty, cheesy taste. Bummer.
I watched my normal Sunday night show and then went to bed.
