Busting my butt on Monday

As predicted, it was warm at lunchtime on Monday. So, when I got home at lunchtime, I raked all the built-up leaves off both patios and onto the lawn.

Then I moved the outdoor furniture to Jake’s patio and made sure the hoses were drained. I added the wheelbarrow to the pile and put the hoses in it. Then I went into the attic and got out a tarp. I put the tarp over the pile and secured it with a rope. I went inside and grabbed a bite to eat before heading back to work.

I left work at 4:00 PM so I could finish up before dark and the rain predicted after midnight. So, I gassed up the push mower and cut about 1/4 of the back yard closest to the house to chew up the last of the leaves. I finished up just before dark.

Back inside, I got the trash together along with the kitty litter and got it all out to the road. Then I took a break – I was beat!

About 7:30, I reheated the chicken, some stuffing and mashed potatoes and gravy. I added some cranberry sauce and had an excellent dinner.

I watched the movie “Casablanca” and then went to bed, sore, but content!
