I took Wednesday off (which is why there was no Blog post). The only thing I did do was to use half of a 10-ounce bag of frozen blueberries to the usual Goerlich recipe (in the paperback blue book).
I thawed the blueberries in a sieve over a bowl. I kicked the recipe up a notch by using buttermilk instead of whole milk. I added the blueberries and made myself some brunch.
I read, watched TV and then ate pancakes for dinner. I went to bed around midnight.
Speaking of spicing up the Goerlich pancake recipe, my favorite is to skip the vegetable oil. Heat a half tablespoon of oil in the fry pan. Dish out 2/3 cup of batter and lightly fry. Then repeat for the remaining cakes, using a half tablespoon of oil per cake.
