I know dogs do. I have seen them twitching their legs and whimpering in their sleep.
But yesterday, I was lying in bed, reading, and Scruffy was there taking a nap (neither of which is all that unusual) when he started making weird sounds.
At first I thought maybe he was choking and couldn't breathe, but when I looked, his chest (massive as it is) was peacefully moving up and down.
But he was making mewling noises and kicking all four legs about (like he was fighting a 20-foot Anaconda).
So, I gently touched his back and he woke up. Thank God! It may sound selfish, but I don't want to bury any more pets or brothers.
Let me be first, Lord.
