I woke up late for work on Friday. I’m not sure if I forgot to set the alarm or if I shut it off and went back to sleep. Be that as it may, I woke up at 8:30 AM! So, I called my boss and said I’d be there in 45 minutes, and I was.
It was raining and also when I went home for lunch. My “May flowers” better be fantastic!
At lunch, I went out to refill the bird feeder and, when I took it off the hook, the plastic cable broke off! So, I threw it in the trash in disgust. I sprinkled seed all over the ground and will pick up another one this weekend.
Back home after work, one of the cats (I now suspect Scruffy) had thrown up on the bedspread again. Disgusted, I threw it in the washer along with the last three days of work clothes.
I was just about to hang up my pants when the phone rang. It was my daughter, Melissa. I asked her to hang on for a minute so I could finish hanging up my pants. It actually took two or three minutes and I did apologize when I got back to the phone and she was still there, patiently waiting.
We talked for a while, interrupted every now and then by the sound of a chop saw. They had been attacked by a wicked storm that blew off some of their siding. Fortunately, it’s a new house so they could contact the builder and find out the correct replacement siding.
When we finished our chat, I went in to make dinner. I cut up the rest of the hot dogs and warmed them up in a pan with Bush’s baked beans. It tasted great (although both I and the cats will regret this tomorrow morning).
I was tired, so I went to bed without turning on the TV.
