It wasn’t raining on Thursday morning, so driving into work was much easier.
My optometrist’s office had called the house and left me a voicemail on Tuesday, letting me know that my glasses had come in. Unfortunately they are always closed on Wednesday, so I went there at lunchtime today. It took a while to get them fitted just right, but I can see again!!!
Heading back to Livonia for the afternoon, I realized it was probably too late to go home and eat lunch, so I stopped at the Chinese restaurant I discovered and ate. I had an interesting conversation with the owner regarding the disappearance of pressed duck (my all-time favorite, back in the day) from all Chinese restaurant menus. He said not enough Americans ordered it, so they all switched to almond chicken. No wonder I can’t find it anywhere.
Back home after work, I finished my cleaning out the fridge project. I wrote down whatever I threw away so I can purchase more.
My friend B___ called and we caught each other up. That didn’t take long, as there is not too much going on right now for either of us.
I ate two more hot dogs on sourdough bread with yellow mustard and onions, but this time I tried Jake’s trick and added hot sauce. Pretty good! Thanks!
I watched TV and had some corn chips with the last of my homemade salsa for a late night snack.
