Slow Sunday

I woke up Sunday morning with the sound of thunder. I was going to make poached eggs on toast but decided on a pot of coffee instead.

Sunday was a day of half-starts. I started cleaning the house, but didn’t finish it. I ran a load of laundry but didn’t take it out of the dryer. I filled up the dishwasher, ran it, but didn’t unload it.

I went to take a nap and just started dozing off when Melissa called. So, instead of napping, I sat on the couch and talked on the phone too long. By the time I hung up, I wasn’t tired anymore (she’s very stimulating).

I was going to make spaghetti with a meat sauce but by then it was almost 7:00 PM and it seemed like a lot of work. So, I made some tomato soup and a toasted cheese sandwich which served as my breakfast, lunch and dinner. I watched a little TV, but mostly read my book for the rest of the night.

  2. Half-start? I set my lever to rabbit!

(Granted, the linkage is shotty and I probably end up tortoise. I've been meaning to look at it but...)

  3. @ GreatPapaFish: Wow! Now I get it! When Dad used to call me that (with his German accent), I thought he was saying "Half Fart!"

@ Jake: I supposed you're a bit too old to assume you are still under warranty...
