When I got home after work, Lu was already there. I helped her carry in a ton of stuff. Then she made her bed and I made mine.
She offered to take me out to dinner, and we settled on Red Lobster. But, when we got there, the parking lot was jammed. People were even parking in nearby lots and walking over! I assume it was a birthday party or something.
So, we moved on to Olive Gardens. It too was pretty full (we had a 10 minute wait). But, finally, we got our table. We both had the "endless" soup, salad and bread sticks. We chatted as we ate, mostly about our various health issues and the death of her friend, Aubrey. I was full after the soup and didn’t finish my salad, but Lu had two bowls of soup and two plates of salad!
Back at home around 7:30 PM; I suggested playing one of her games. But she said she was beat from the drive and wanted something more mindless. So, we watched a taped “Two Fat Ladies” show. She loved it.
Then she brought out the video of her white-water rafting trip. It was very interesting to see how the rafts are spun and tossed by the water.
After that we gave it up and went to our respective beds to read. I think I turned my light out around 10:30.
