It was much colder on Friday, with the high temperature predicted to be 37 degrees F. (versus 59 degrees on Thursday).
I was asked to go to farewell lunch for one of our techs. My ribs didn’t feel like going, so I made my excuses. However, they were all going to eat Thai food, and that stuck with me. I am so tired of eating lame leftovers and\or canned stuff.
So, before I left for home at lunch, I called up Chin’s (a Chinese restaurant near my house) and ordered a pint of chicken fried rice, a small container of wonton soup and an egg roll. I grabbed them on the way to the house.
I ate all of the wonton soup, the egg roll and about half of the fried rice for lunch.
After work, I drove home and got everything secured for the weekend. It was still to dark to work in the living room.
In looking for something else in my freezer, I came across a package of Ballpark All-Beef Franks (it must have been left over from Carla as those were her favorites, back in the day).
So, I thawed them out and boiled three of them. I ate them on top of sourdough bread with yellow mustard and raw onions as the topper.
I had received a DVD in the mail, one of the ones I told Melissa I was interested in. So, when she called, I thanked her. She said it was my Christmas present and that a birthday present was still to come.
I lay on the bed and decided it was foolish to pretend I was going to watch TV until I was sleepy. So, I turned everything off and went to bed before 8:00 PM.
