I slept like a rock and, other than bathroom breaks, slept in until 9:30 AM on Saturday. Even then, I only woke up because the phone was ringing.
It was my friend B___, who was calling to see how I was feeling. I told him I was still sore and very, very tired. The “tired” is probably the result of taking an anti-inflammatory, a muscle relaxer and the pain pills, all of which have cautions on the label that they may cause drowsiness.
I made a pot of coffee and sat on the bed to drink it. I fell asleep again! I woke up around noon.
While I really, REALLY would like to get my living room back in order, there are only two things I MUST do today: Get a haircut (I have a 1:30 PM appointment) and wash my work clothes.
I did make it in time to get my haircut. I thought briefly about going to that hole-in-the-wall Coney Island (I really should eat something) but decided I was too sore. So I drove home, instead.
I started the laundry and changed my clothes. I lay back down on the bed with the heating pad and promptly fell asleep. I woke up several hours later and realized the clothes were sitting in the washer, wrinkling. So, I redid the final rinse and stuck them in the dryer.
I went back to bed.
When the timer went off, I hung up the clothes and then went back to sleep.
I woke up around 8:00 PM, starving. So, I reheated the chicken fried rice and ate that for breakfast/lunch/dinner.
I went back to bed.
You may have noticed that nothing was done in the living room. I know I did and was ashamed of myself, but I was just so damn tired.
