Monday it was still way above normal as far as temperature goes. We had a high of 47 degrees! But, the north wind reminded you that this is not Fall, anymore.
I had some errands to run at lunchtime, so I didn’t make it home. I stopped in at the Newburgh Grille and ordered a turkey sandwich on a croissant. It sounded good, until I bit into it. They put cheese on it! Who the hell puts cheese on a turkey sandwich?
Back at home, I brought in the mail and treated the cats. I sorted the mail into a Christmas card pile and a throw away pile. At the last second, I noticed one letter from New York that I put with the Christmas cards. There also was a box from Amazon.
I ate a pain pill and settled on the bed to wait for the magic to happen, watch the news and open my mail.
I was pretty sure the Amazon box was my other present from Melissa, so I didn’t open it (I’ll wait for my birthday).
The cards were great and then I opened the letter. I’ll explain that in another post.
When the news was over, I got up and got to work. I put on more plug plates and hung the rest of the pictures.
I was very disappointed to find that the biggest picture (the one over the couch) had a crack in the glass in the upper left-hand corner. It was only on the matt, so I let it go for now. But, I can’t explain how that happened as I had it laying on the day bed.
I finished up what I’d planned to do today around 8:30 PM. I knew I should eat something, but didn’t feel like it. So, I just had a couple of tablespoons of cottage cheese. I went to sleep at 10:30 PM.
