Thursday

It was chilly Thursday morning, but warmed up nicely by noon. Just after 11:00 PM, I had to make a run and get some presentation covers for the Director. Since I was going that way anyway at lunch, I asked if this was hot, or could I just go to lunch after I picked them up. Nope, they needed them NOW!

So, I drove to Office Depot and got the covers and then drove back to work and dropped them off. Then I got back in the car and drove right back to the same general area to check on some items I need (tomorrow’s payday). Then I went to the Feed Store to restock on bird seed. Finally, I stopped at Westborn and got a small container of chicken noodle soup to eat back at work.

The soup was excellent, as always, BTW.

Back home after work, the weather outlook was still perfect for putting down that herbicide (no rain until Saturday afternoon and that’s just a slight probability). But, there was a pretty good breeze blowing from the northwest. I’ve had some ugly (and, unfortunately, long lasting) bad experiences using herbicide in the wind. So, I figured I would err on the side of caution and not spray tonight. My plants and grass thanked me.

Jake called and we talked for a short while. He’s got a tight deadline and is working practically around the clock, so I think he needed a quick break. So, I talked about how things were going around here at work and by the time we hung up, he seemed happy to be down there, tight deadline and all, LOL!

I was hungry but not ambitious, so I tried the Marie Callender’s entrĂ©e, Swedish meatballs. Not bad for microwave food!

I watched TV until I started dozing. Then I shut everything down and went to bed around 10:30 PM.
