It was a drizzly kind of morning that turned into a drizzly kind of day on Wednesday. I noticed my stomach muscles were sore from Physical Therapy when I was washing them in the shower.
I took back the de-thatcher to Home Depot at lunch (yes, I don’t have PT today, thank goodness!) Since I was there anyway, I bought a small bag of potting soil (I’ve used up all mine at the house). At home, I ate lunch (the last brat) and then I grabbed a big pot and took it and the potting soil back to work. Then I repotted the single living plant left in our office. As I thought, it was root bound, so the bigger pot and new soil should help it keep alive. It was also all bent over, so I tied it to a stick to straighten it up. I watered it then and it looked a 100% better. I took a picture of it with my phone for you.
I stopped at CVS on the way back home after work to pick up a refill on a prescription. Then I went home, treated the cats and changed my shoes. I checked my email and replied to a few. Then I went out front and watered the new grass and the mailbox garden. Then I dumped two gallons apiece on the new arborvitae, the new rose and the old, little forsythia.
Two neighbor’s I’ve seen before but don’t know their names went by on their bicycles and yelled out, “Hello.” I said, “Hello!” back. Then the guy said, “Your yard looks great!” I thanked him, but it was funny because I had just been thinking how crappy my yard looked with everything dying now and the black walnut leaves everywhere.
When I got back inside, it was after 7:00 PM. I had missed the evening news and was getting hungry. So, I warmed up the rest of the pizza for my dinner. I watched another episode of Breaking Bad and then taped shows until about 11:00 PM. I went to bed, then.
Nice job on the plant! If you move it by the microwave, you can use the self-watering ceiling.
ReplyDeleteLMAO! Everyone at work loved this comment, BTW. But, unfortunately (hopefully), Facilities fixed the leak when they replaced a pipe elbow a while back.
