Anyway, I woke up Monday morning to the news that we were under a
“Winter Weather Advisory” due to another Alberta
clipper that was supposed to start around 7:00 AM.
So, I hurried and left for work early. So hurried that I forgot my belt!
So, all day long, I worried my pants would fall down,
since I have no butt.
The snow started about 8:00 AM
here, but stayed a lot longer than the 2:00 PM
end of the Advisory.
I had planned on going home for lunch (and get my belt) but
there were bagels (from the contracting house we get our techs) and I had an
apple, so I decided just to hunker down, stay in and stay off the road.
It was a little weird because, at one time, there was about
three inches of snow on all the cars. Then it must have warmed up just a tad,
as all the snow melted off. That didn’t last long, though, because by 5:00 PM, everything had frozen and there was
icicles and ice all over the car. It was difficult to open the door to get the
ice scraper!
Speaking of difficult, it was a trial to drag the garbage
can out to the road through all the snow! I’d guess we had about three inches
on the ground at the house (but that damn fluffy stuff) and it was still
snowing!
I warmed up the nachos for dinner. They still tasted pretty
good, although the chips were soggy. I watched TV until bedtime.
