Sunshine on my shoulders…

Wednesday dawned bright and clear. It was nice to drive to work in the light, for a change.

I went to Westborn at lunchtime and picked up some milk, sour cream, a loaf of that Rustic Italian bread, a package of city chicken, some Brussels sprouts and three Gala apples (the HoneyCrisps have sadly disappeared for the year).

I had planned on going home and eating some of my bean with bacon soup for lunch. But, I had to walk by the Westborn soup counter and they had lobster bisque! So, I made an impulse buy.

I went home, treated the cats and cut two thick slices of bread off that loaf. I ate that with my lobster bisque. Delicious!

The parking lot snow and ice had melted in the sun enough (although it was only 26 degrees F.) that I took my afternoon walk outside, for a change.

My ride home was slowed by not one but two rolling patching crews (taking advantage of the sunshine, I’d guess). This winter’s weird freezing and thawing has really taken its toll on the roads and potholes (some killer) are popping up everywhere!

When I finally got home, I treated the cats, changed clothes and started the Wednesday night wash. Since it was still light out and nice, I went out to fill the squirrel feeder. But, to my dismay, I found they had broken out the Plexiglas. Dammit!

So, I dumped some peanuts on the ground and took the broken plastic inside. I “think” I have enough left to cut another piece out.

I put the clothes in the dryer and started my supper. I warmed up some of the chili I made last November and froze. I ate that with some of the leftover nacho chips.

I watched TV until bedtime.
