The Calm Before the Storm

The first thing I did after leaving for work Thursday was go shopping (of course). I stopped in at Meijer’s to pick up some cat food, kitty litter and cat treats, since I didn't think I would have time at lunch. Then I drove on into work.

It stayed snow-free all day long, so both my morning and afternoon walks were outside.

At lunchtime, I went in the opposite direction from home to Lowe’s, to check out some stuff there. I stopped at the Newburgh Grill and had a French dip sandwich with a cup of beef vegetable soup. Both were very good.

The drive home was unremarkable as the snow still had not hit here. I unloaded the car, which takes a while for me when I am dealing with a 42 pound bag of kitty litter. So, I missed a call from Jake. I returned it when I could and we talked for a while.

I made a chicken pot pie for dinner and had a salad with that.

It finally started snowing but, at least here, it was small flakes you could barely see. I watched a little TV but went to bed early.
