The Clock Goes Home...

It was raining hard on Tuesday morning. I think it started here around midnight. But, it made taking the last trash bag out to the road unpleasant. I wrapped the clock in a blanket and put it in the trunk.

It was just damp and drizzling, when I took my 10:00 AM walk, though.

The sun had come out by noon and it was warmer, but I decided not to drive home for lunch. Instead I went to the Time Out and had a Rueben sandwich and a bowl of French Onion soup. That gave me enough time to check out another antique store, where I found a Brownie box camera like the one my mother had in the linen closet. It was in pretty rough shape, but only cost me $15.00, so I bought it. See photos.

Stephanie came to pick up her clock around 3:00 PM. She said she loved it! (whew! You really don’t want a biker chick not to like something you made for her, lol!) She did start to give me some grief about not paying for it, so I threatened her (yeah, like I could threaten Steph). I told her I had a strict rule about not hitting women except for ex-wives and asked her to please not make me break my own rule. She laughed. But, I ended up getting two hugs for the clock, so I got paid enough.

Come to think of it, I suppose I have to give one hug to Jake next time I see him for his help on the template.

Oh, she did say she would post a picture of it on her wall tonight. I thought if she did I’d steal it so you could see its final home next to her stars. I’m sure she won’t mind.

When I got home, it had gotten cloudy and more windy, but was still dry and warm. I got in the empty trash can and treated the cats. The first thing I had to do was reset all the electronic clocks as I must have lost power sometime during the day.

I  didn’t change my clothes then. I had some fresh bratwurst and a link of smoked sausage in the fridge I needed to do something with. So, I fired up the charcoal lighter and waited for the coals to get hot.

Then I went out and grilled both kinds of meat. As you might be able to tell in the photo, the smoke was blowing right where I was standing. It smelled good, when I was able to take the occasional breath.

I was still planning on making my soup tonight, but the smell of the cooking sausages was too much. Instead, I made a blue box of mac and cheese for a side and ate some of that and one piece of grilled, smoked sausage for dinner.

I had been looking on Netflix at old TV shows over the weekend and came across all 139 episodes of MacGyver. So, I stuck it in my queue on a whim. Monday night, I watched the first two episodes since I couldn’t find anything on regular cable. Then I went to bed.
