Tuesday

Tuesday was sunnier, but more or less a repeat of Monday’s weather: cold with a strong wind.

I went home at lunch and ate the rest of the spaghetti for lunch.

Back home after work, I left the car out for a while. I got the trash can in and closed the door. I treated the cats, but didn’t bother changing clothes.

I went back out in the garage and folded up that tarp (it’s big and takes an empty garage space to do it). Then I got the wet-vac and sucked up as much of the sawdust and potting soil as I could from the work bench, the sawhorses and so on.

Finally, I pulled the car in, came in for the night and changed clothes. It’s too cold to work out there tonight! And, too cold to take the tarp up in the attic.

I had long since munched down the rest of the asparagus (simple recipe, but very tasty), so I quartered a whole box of button mushrooms and fried them in butter. When they had reduced in size, I added some kosher salt and fresh thyme leaves.

I ate some of them as a side with another lamb chop and the roasted potatoes.

I started to watch the first of two episodes of “Kind-hearted woman” that was on Public Television Monday Night (the next part was on tonight and I’ll tape it, too). It’s about a Native American woman on a reservation, trying to get her life together after many, many problems and very interesting.

But, maybe not so interesting because I fell asleep before it finished. I woke up around 12:30 AM, turned the lamp and the TV off and tried to fall back asleep.  It took a while…
