Thursday was miserable. It was cold, windy and rained all day here.
When I got home, I checked the rain gauge (with binoculars from inside the house, LOL). I had just over one inch so far and its supposed to rain Friday and Saturday as well. All Southeast Michigan is under a flood watch.
As most of you know, I have had wild rabbits (in
the early days), groundhogs, skunks, foxes and a belligerent possum (who still
shows up and hisses at me) visit me, even though I live in Redford (a close
suburb of Detroit). And, I've seen hawks eating pigeons. But, tonight, I
glanced out the kitchen window and saw a wild, female turkey under my
bird feeder! She saw me at the same time and wander off by the time I
grabbed the camera. Excuse the poor camera work, but I was blown away!!!
Then she came back!!!
I was still cold and damp, so I warmed up a can of chili for dinner.
I watched more taped TV until bedtime.
