Tuesday and it's another hot one

It was even hotter and muggier today! I had planned on planting the new new flowers, but decided against it. The weather folks mentioned the possibility of a stray thunderstorm, (my grass and gardens would LOVE some rain) but that never happened.

When I got home, I took Jake's advice and removed the two door molding blocks I installed at the corner of my bedroom door and the linen closet. I had originally cut them at a 45 degree angle but, again, the corner wasn't a true 90 degree angle, so there was a gap. I thought I could fill it with caulk, but Jake said it would look dumb. After reflection, I realized he was right. But taking them off proved difficult and I messed up some of the wall paint (another touch up spot) before I accomplished my mission.

My daughter Melissa, er, I mean M_______, called and we talk for a looong time (as usual). After we hung up, I went back to work!

I took two new blocks and cut them down so one butted up against the other (I'll tell you, cutting them out in the garage was a bugger as it was so hot in there). I nailed them in (looks great, now!) and put on all the rest of the remaining hallway molding. Then, for the first time in days, I took the air compressor and nail gun out of the bathroom and put it back downstairs. It's nice to be able to walk into the bathroom again!

After that, I made dinner (the rice mixture - after reading Jake's comment about it, I was hungry for it again). I watched a little TV, but went to bed before 10:00 PM.
