Sowing my seeds...

It was a beautiful day Tuesday. Too bad it can't be like this on the weekends!

When I got home, I changed clothes and was about to go outside when my daughter Melissa called. We chatted a bit and then I did go outside.

One of the things I like about using the sandbox as a raised bed is that I don't have to use stakes to mark my rows. I just used nails in the top wood. One of the things that's not so good is that it's too big to reach into every spot to weed or pick veggies. So, I determined that I will need to add a 2 x 12 board in the middle so I can stand on it to get access.

So, once I had my rows marked, I planted my first seeds: a row of sunflowers in the rear. Smiling, I went back inside.

After I cleaned up, I ate some leftover tuna salad for dinner. I watched TV for a bit and then went to sleep.
