When I got home on Tuesday, Jake and Carla were there! Oh, no! The house is a wreck from the weekend project and I haven't put the bedroom back together! But, they didn't care. They stopped by to tell me of their adventures over the Fourth of July weekend. They had gone to visit Carla's brother.
And, they brought me a present! Long time readers may remember the on-going search for a spider (a cooking utensil that has a shallow metal "basket" and a long handle). Well, they came across them and picked up two, one for them and one for me! It's beautiful, with a long bamboo handle. Now if I can just figure out where to hang it!
After we caught each other up on current events, they left for home. I decided I was done for the night (even though I hadn't actually "done" anything, lol!). I warmed up the last hamburger and ate that (and a pickle) for dinner.
I tried to watch some TV, but nothing really interested me, so I switched to reading. I fell asleep around 10:00 PM.

ReplyDeleteWell, it was raining on the way home, and other storms rolled in later as well. But, they were fast moving and when I checked the rain gauge this morning (Wednesday) there was less than 1/8 of an inch in it.
