Just a Dream?

I had the weirdest damn dream last night!

I dreamt I was invited to Jake's friend Jay's wedding. I accepted, not only because I like Jay, but I also wanted to see the Pacific Northwest. So, I ended up walking in a deep woods to the place.

I was lost, but finally found a local, who gave me one of those rural directions (turn left at the big oak tree, etc.) So, I went on...

I finally came to a tall fence, topped with barbed wire. I walked along it until I came to a gate. I let myself in and continued on. I finally came to a group of ninjas who were practicing. I say "practicing" but they were not pulling their punches, but beating the crap out of each other. There were broken, bleeding combatants everywhere.

Finally, I came to another fence. Fearing the ninjas more than the barbed wire, I climbed it and ripped the hell out of my arms and legs. But I got on the other side.

I kept walking but had the oddest feeling of being watched or followed. I finally saw them. I thought they were wolves at first, but then noticed they all had collars on them. I decided they must be attack dogs. I tried to walk deliberately, as I kept reminding myself, "They can smell fear and will attack!"

Finally I came to another fence, with a gate locked on the other side. Just then, as the pack formed a semi-circle, two little girls walked by and I begged them to open the door.

They did and I followed them to the wedding. I was shaking hands with Jay (who was dressed in his service uniform) when I woke up.

  1. This is precisely the reason you need a smart phone with a map application.

  2. Great Ap! And, even better advice.

Hmmm... Now that I think about it, why didn't you let me ride with you and Carla from the hotel???

  3. Usual. We asked you to meet us at noon but you never showed. Called your room a bunch of times - no answer. We just assumed you were dead.
